I was first introduced to miles over 20 years ago when my dad would regularly book me on free flights to visit family with his Continental miles. After starting my own business in video production I began traveling more and more, and quickly learned how to turn those miles I started earning into free flights (except for taxes/fees) and first class upgrades.
Over the years I became even more obsessed with using miles, points, credit cards, and loyalty programs to save tons of money on travel experiences otherwise reserved for the rich & famous. Since 2021 the Mrs & I redeemed over $130k in free travel using points & miles (excluding taxes & occasional fees) and by stretching the value of each point along the way by traveling in luxury we could never otherwise afford. We’ve booked many business & first class flights, hotel rooms, rental cars, and even a couple 7 night cruises - all with points. Many of these experiences we could never otherwise afford, but thanks to the magic of points we’ve been spoiled rotten by outstanding service, comfort and luxury!
For years friends & family have encouraged me to share my “secrets” with others and so in 2021 I launched my YouTube travel channel HDjeff to bring you along for some unique travel experiences while showing you exactly how we save so much money.
